Picker/Packers Needed
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Associate. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient receipt, binning, picking, and packing of incoming and outgoing stock in our Siemens Warehouse. You will also assist with inventory management tasks and collaborate with the IA/DT (Inventory Administration/Data Tracking) team when required. We are looking for someone who can handle the fast-paced environment of a warehouse and contribute to maintaining high standards of accuracy and productivity.
Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (Grade 12/Matric)
Completion of an appropriate or related learnership program would be advantageous
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in a similar warehouse position
Proficient in using computer applications such as MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
Key Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Associate, you will have a range of responsibilities to ensure smooth warehouse operations. Some of the key
responsibilities include:
Receiving and Binning, Accurately receive incoming goods from goods receiving area
Unpack and bin incoming goods following the Warehouse Management Binning strategies
Ensure proper organization and arrangement of stock within the warehouse
Picking and Packing:
Timeously pick outbound orders based on Warehouse Management Picking strategies
Pack outbound orders according to IA/DT requirements, ensuring the accuracy of products and quantities
Inventory Management:
Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking systems
Collaborate with the IA/DT team to conduct cycle counts and contribute to inventory accuracy
Support annual stock takes as and when required
Cargo Handling:
Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling procedures
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols when operating warehouse equipment
Additional Responsibilities:
Assist with processing returned stock, collections, and transfer orders
Collaborate with the IA/DT team to address any other IA/DT business requirements
